Carbon Neutrality

Langus Goods is committed to offsetting the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the packaging and shipping of all domestic and international orders. To learn more about how we offset emmissions with Pachama, click here.

What are carbon offsets?

A carbon offset reduces the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere so that increased greenhouse gases elsewhere have a net impact of 0. For example, suppose a truck releases 150 g of CO2 in one mile, and actions to preserve a forest remove 150 g of CO2 from the atmosphere. If Langus Goods purchased one carbon offset that supports forest preservation for each mile that a truck travels, then the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere remain the same.

How Emissions Are Calculated

Langus Goods combines pack & shipment data with industry data and peer-reviewed models to determine how much CO2 each specific order releases into the environment, and then works with Pachama to determine the cost of offsetting those emissions.

Round-Up

Because our goal is to make sure that our CO2 shipping emissions are offset entirely, all values that are used in the data models are rounded up.

100% Post-Consumer Recylced Bottles

In addition to our carbon neutrality pledge, we are committed to continually increasing the amount of recycled materials in the packaging and production of our products. We pledge to increase the post-consumer recycled plastic content of our bottles from 25%-50% currently to 100% by 2024.
